PMI - the Project Management Institute and owner of the PMBOK standard - defines a project as temporary and unique:
More simply put a project collects all tasks you need to do to achive a specific outcome - and usually you have some idea when this should be finished.
Tap or click a task to open the Task Details Inspector. Tap or click the Project entry to display the selector. Here you can assign a task to an existing project, search for existing project by entering the first letters of the project title or create a new project on-the-fly by entering a project name and pressing "Return":
To assign the task to the project tap or click on the project name in the list. The task is now moved to the new project.
Your projects are listed in the Library Sidebar on the Projects tab:
To add a new project on the top level press the + button at the bottom of the list and enter the project title.
For more complex projects you can divide your projects into as many sub-projects as needed (on as many levels as needed). Select the current project and tap or click the ... at the bottom of the project list:
Select "Add Subproject" and enter the project title.
To edit project details select a project. The title of the project will be displayed in the top bar (above the task list) with a ... menu next to the project title. Tap or click the ... menu next to the project title and select "Edit" from the menu:
