Taskfabric CLOUD2 has been introduced with Organize 1.9 and includes long awaited features like auto-sync, improved access from your web browser and many stability and performance improvements.
CLOUD2 is the basic building block for introducing new features with upcoming releases, like team integration and individual email addresses for Task-by-Mail.
The previous cloud architecture (Organize Cloud Sync) will still be available, but we recommend that you switch to CLOUD2 as soon as you've upgraded ALL your devices to at least Organize:Pro 1.9 or Organize:Me 1.9. New cloud related features will only be available with Taskfabric CLOUD2 enabled.
Switching to CLOUD2
Taskfabric CLOUD2 needs a separate account. You cannot use your iCloud or Organize Cloud Sync account to log in. However registration is free - and you can easily sign up using the Taskfabric CLOUD2 Login dialog in Organize:Pro or Organize:Me.
1. Creating your FIRST Taskfabric CLOUD2 account
Follow these steps only once - either on your mobile device or desktop - to create your account. After this use the steps in the next section to sign up additional devices.
On your iPhone or iPad open the Taskfabric CLOUD2 Login dialog from the Options dialog (Wheel button at the bottom right), enter your email address and a new password (at least 6 characters) then tap or click "Sign Up" to create your new account. You will get your confirmation in your email account within minutes.
On your Mac or Windows PC click the Sync icon (round arrows at the bottom right), click "Sign Up" to get to the registration page. Now enter your email address, password and confirm the Terms of Service. Then click "Register" to create your free account.
2. Signing in with additional devices
After you created and confirmed your account, all additional devices will be signed in using the same account.
On your iPhone or iPad open the Taskfabric CLOUD2 Login dialog from the Options dialog (Wheel button at the bottom right), enter your email address and the password you selected at sign up, then tap or click "Login" to log into your existing account.
On your Mac or Windows PC click the Sync icon (round arrows at the bottom right), enter your email address and the password you selected at sign up, then tap or click "Login" to log into your existing account.
3. Merging or replacing existing data
When you log in Organize asks you whether you want to merge or replace your data.
Replace deletes all local entries and downloads the data from the cloud. You should choose this option if you either really want to get rid of your trial data and start over new or there are already more up to date entries in the Taskfabric CLOUD2 that you synced from another device.
Merge uploads all your local data to the CLOUD2 replacing identical entries in the cloud. You should only use this option if this is your first device connecting to the Taskfabric CLOUD2 with this account, so all your data is uploaded to the cloud, or if you made changes on this device you want to transfer to the cloud and all other connected devices.
4. Turn off Organize Cloud Sync
Activating Taskfabric CLOUD2 does not automatically turn off your previous Organize Cloud Sync setup. You should do this only after all devices have Organize 1.9 installed, as earlier versions cannot access the Taskfabric CLOUD2.
Runs in your Web Browser
To access Taskfabric CLOUD2 from your browser visit https://taskfabric.net/organize. Login with your CLOUD2 account you created on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows PC.
Currently the taskfabric Cloud brings you most of the basic features known from Organize:
- Tasks can be organized in projects and subprojects.
- Each task can have an unlimited number of contexts.
- Assign priority, color or flag a task to structure your task list.
- Enter task comments, location and duration.
- Assign start, review and due dates for each task.
- Choose different sortings from the toolbar.
- Show/Hide completed tasks in each list.
- Changes made in the taskfabric Cloud are transferred to Organize:Me and Organize:Pro installations on your iPhone, iPad, PC or Mac with the next sync.
